Just figured out my week.

1168 loaded miles @ $1.51 average per mile US dollars.

I'd say that's my best per mile in awhile but I'd be lying. It's probably my best as a contracted driver ever.

What a difference a month makes...

Edit: shame I still can't pay the bills I already accumulated this year. I basked in it for a few minutes

This has also been my best week in a long time. Glad that things are finally picking back up after how painfully slow the month of May was for me.

I thought perhaps the price of fuel would keep folks out of Cali. Whole flock of vans here .... :fishing:

There are 3 taco trucks in Castaic. One serves dog, another hippopotamus .... the third serves tasty pork and beef.

Copied this from our old friend Hazmat. I guess his bar & grill will have BBQ specials next week.

At Sprinter Expert (love these Soviet guys) this morning in Sun Valley, CA. Transmission needs to be serviced. I got the gasket, filter & fluid ... easy job. Ya know that trans fluid Mercedes sells for $24 a qt? Shell atf 134 can be bought directly from any Shell lubricants distributor for considerably less. I picked up 2 cases in Missoula, MT for $4.80/qt.

Take a look at this thing lol

Mighty expensive hogs .. IMO
In Iowa , you can buy the same hog at a Farm Animal Sale Barn for $30 to $40.00 ...

Just wondering, is it even worth it to raise them? The food they eat would cost that much, I think. But I don't know anything about hogs.

I have a hard enough time figuring out how any profit can be made on chicken by the time I pick up a cooked whole chicken at Walmart for $6
Raising, feeding, transport, preparing, baking, employee wages... Must make it up in volume some how ;)

Makes sense. But how about the hogs? Maybe government subsidies of some sort? Don't know.
