“I note that in 2008, then-Senator Obama supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate because he was at that time strongly opposed to the idea, stating that ‘if a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house,’” Judge Vinson wrote in a footnote toward the end of the 78-page ruling Monday.

I sense a huge slapdown is headed towards Obamacare. As I said a year ago, the US Supreme Court will have the final say as to whether this incredible attempt at forcing socialized medicine on every man, woman and child in America can pass constitutional muster. In his never-ending search for glory, Obama colluded with the Democrat controlled Congress to sire this illegitimate socialist baby. Soon, a majority of Supreme Court justices shall kill Obamacare in its hideous crib!

I think many of you miss something, the supreme court doesn't have to hear the case. They can decide not to hear it and this will let the lower court ruling stand with no appeals.

Which ruling? I know that they can just let it stand. Was the last ruling the "one" ? There have been 4 rulings, 2 say it is constitutional and 2 say it is not.

The appeals court.

These were district court decisions, right?

Once the appeals court decides the case, the SC can decide to take it based on each case. The smart move would be to allow the appeals process on the cases that overturned the law and let the other ones sit.

On the other hand, it also has to work through congress and repealed there.
