Someone said on one of the news shows today that the Sedition Hunters have identified an additional 1,000 Jan 6 participants. Their names have been turned over to prosecutors. The investigations are very much alive and ongoing.

To date, there have been 1,229 arrests and many of those have pleaded guilty or been convicted. Details here ... and here.

It is interesting to see DOJ publicly name some of the violent offenders who remain at large and are officially fugitives, probably living in hiding and looking over their shoulders.

The estate of Ashli Babbitt has finally filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her assailant Lt Michael Byrd, and the Capitol Police. Babbitt was the only person killed during the Jan 6 riot, and her death was ignored by the J6 committee because she was a Trump supporter. This action is long overdue, and in a just world Byrd would already be behind bars for homicide. The suit brings out more details not explained by the mainstream media, like the immediate circumstances of her death. Byrd was only five yards away from her, 160 degrees to her left as she was climbing through a window in a vulnerable position. She couldn't even see him, and there were other Capitol Police behind her and in close proximity who obviously didn't think she was a threat. Derek Chauvin is in prison right now for killing George Floyd, a drug addict and lifelong criminal. Michael Byrd should be his cellmate, since there is no statute of limitations for murder.

"While the Supreme Court, in cases such as Graham v. Connor, has said that courts must consider “the facts and circumstances of each particular case,” it has emphasized that lethal force must be used only against someone who is “an immediate threat to the safety of the officers or others, and … is actively resisting arrest or attempting to evade arrest by flight.” Particularly with armed assailants, the standard governing “imminent harm” recognizes that these decisions must often be made in the most chaotic and brief encounters.

Under these standards, police officers should not shoot unarmed suspects or rioters without a clear threat to themselves or fellow officers. That even applies to armed suspects who fail to obey orders..."

I'm not going to get into a pissing match over this.
5 people died. Period. Facts are facts, regardless of how Maga lunatics want to spin it.
You don't get to dictate the facts; five people did not die on Jan 6. Only Ashli Babbitt was killed that day - as in died at the hands of another. One other protester had a heart attack, a Capitol Police officer died of a stroke the next day, a few others committed suicide later. Of course the liberal media and their toadies want to blame all that on the evil "MAGA", but what if Pelosi and/or Muriel Bowser had accepted Trump's offer of the 10,000 National Guardsmen? Would there have even been a riot?

But the point isn't about this straw man anyway. One defenseless woman was murdered by an overzealous, undertrained Capitol police officer who was five paces away from her when he shot her without warning or giving her a chance to retreat. Hopefully, the Babbitt family attorneys will swamp this killer with legal bills for the rest of his life. With any luck, an unbiased Attorney General will charge him with murder and send him to federal prison.

He committed suicide.

And it happened on AG Barr's watch.

Which is kinda interesting ... considering that the Coverup General's Daddy (a freak of sorts himself) hired a young and unqualified Epstein to teach at the very elite private school where Daddy was headmaster.

There never was any offer of 10,000 NG ... that's another lie Donny sold to the gullible rubes.

It didn't happen.

Debunked:

Jan. 6 committee yet again debunks Trump claim of 10,000 troops

But the point isn't about this straw man anyway. One defenseless woman was murdered by an overzealous, undertrained Capitol police officer who was five paces away from her when he shot her without warning or giving her a chance to retreat.

The officer gave her a warning and a command to retreat ... and to stop her attempt to breach and enter into the Speaker's Lobby.

She failed to heed that warning and continued her lawless actions.

Tragically, she was shot and died as consequence of her own bad judgement/stupidity.

She should have just complied.

The shooting was investigated and the officer was cleared of any wrongdoing as regards his use of lethal force.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Hopefully, the Babbitt family attorneys will swamp this killer with legal bills for the rest of his life. With any luck, an unbiased Attorney General will charge him with murder and send him to federal prison.

An unbiased AG would do nothing of the sort.

Pilgrim makes a statement. Your “fact” check post in response claims something else. And then when asked for facts, nothing is provided except an ad-hominem.
No need to reiterate what is publicly out there. The facts are the facts regardless how Mega monsters want to spin it.

A very detailed lawsuit. Multiple issues of incompetence and negligence by not only Lt. Byrd but other officers as well.

If January 6th was a coup or insurrection why didn't they take over the Capitol building and stay in control????? You would need a army to clean house then. Oh wait there was the 25k national guard called in with 10 foot fence AFTER the riot.

I get it you don't like trump.
We sure don't like biden......I would almost welcome back Obama with a red carpet after Biden and Harris.

A fitting gift to all Americans for today's solemn remembrance of Insurrection Day ... the day a rag-tag bunch of anti-American miscreant MAGAt domestic terrorist stooges attempted to take over our nation's Capitol at the behest of their loser leader ... and failed:
