If you're empty and not busy. c'mon up for lunch. Im about 15 miles up.
Was just going to ask where to land in the LA area. Looks like the South side is good. We are headed in from the North. Our first LA experience, relocateing from Seattle.
TA and Petro right of I 10 in Ontario CA could be the place. Vanners like to hang out there. Everything you need are within short driving distance.

Been spending hours every night pouring over our finances - both income and expenses. It's beginning to appear to be to our advantage to seriously consider retirement this fall.

I'm not far behind you, I set the end of 2016 as my goal, but it looks sooner everyday.
I felt that way after a heart attack. Tried working again but my mind wasn't in it. Even though financially, I wasn't completely set up to retire, did it anyway. Learned how to live on less money, and now am enjoying myself as is stef.
And that's what we see..., we can live on less...... But it really won't be a lot less, Ragmama has a pretty good pension. That along with our savings and whatever form SS takes will be only 10% less than our take home pay is now.

I got a load out of one time. Spent the drive over trying to figure out how to pronounce it.
Arrived in Hebron. Called dispatch this afternoon and asked them to make sure customer was open at 1:30 AM for delivery. Of course! Then around 3 one of the "girls" in tracking wanted to know why I was showing as only going 50 miles in the last 1-1/2 hrs. I told her we stopped for lunch. She (25 yr old) told me I was irresponsible to stop and eat since I was on a deadhead run. I told her I would make it on time and she gave me a 2 minute talking to about how I needed to do my job because the customer was relying on us. I bit my tongue and assured her that I would make the schedule. Arrived half hour EARLY and they were closed.
Sorry for You .... but on Feb. 5th . it will 1 year of Me doing the Happy dance because i left there ....
