That's an excellent article. Well written, and highly educational.

Ironically, it's the government's USDA Food Pyramid that they sold to the public decades ago that you can trace the obesity problem, and diabetes to. The Food Pyramid is bottom heavy on things the Department of Agriculture deals with, and it's the same stuff that makes cows fat.

Yeah, if you are a rancher out west they are using drones to check up on you. Freedom has died, long live tyranny.

MMM no, they lost every major engagement. Our congress pulled us out and let them in. They had NO chance had we just finished them off. It would not have taken long. Uncle Teddy is to blame.
so be it...but you still lost....regardless....if one sits down on the 1 yd line and doesn't score...you lose.....
Actually I can't think of 1 win since WW2 for the US....Iraq, maybe....but that could end up being for nothing....Aphgan....like the Russians, will be beat by a bunch of goat herders...

Hard to win when you are not allowed to play. Our troops are just sent over to die.

8 from a Michigan MP unit were attacked by Afgan police a few weeks ago. They were hit at first light, while still in their tents. There was a 55 minute firefight before they were driven off.

This attack was part of a corrordinated series of attacks that took place across the country that day.

All 8 will survive. One lost an eye. One female medic was shot in both hands.

Paul, one of the guys I hunted with was there. He has now taken control of the platoon since the platoon leader was one of the wounded.

Why do I bring this up? They were NOT allowed to pursue the enemy when they drove them off. They are REQUIRED to stay IN the compound unless on a mission that has first been cleared by the Afgan police. The SAME police that attacked them.

There is no way to win when not allowed to play.

I wasn't saying anything bad about the military, Joe...they just take orders....Since Korea (a draw) on down...as a country....nothing in the political win column....just left a bad taste in the worlds mouth..

Keep in mind that Korea was NOT a U.S. action, it was a U.N. action. We had no business there. Vietnam was a 'Cold War' action, part of efforts fought over an area as wide as the Second World War was. It was NOT a isolated action. It was just another 'theater' in a much wider war. One that lasted over 50 years. Some feel we won that one. I don't agree, but that is a different story.

The U.S. has not fought as the U.S. since WWII. We just send troops overseas to be killed.
