Roads beginning to shut down in a serious way. In a few days we will lose all travel at the northernmost I-680/I-29 interchange. Anyone travelling south is just out of luck I guess. Soon we will lose use of the bridge at Blair and the bridge at Onawa due to road flooding on the Iowa side according to the Iowa DOT.

Either way Both Tony Friends of the family and the Chief of Police in Onawa who married to my cousin Grace will be letting me whats up as they are on top of the situation. So Ill know who is involved Helping out as well.

There has been a lot of train activity more than usual running up to the north and to the south towards Missouri Valley.

My 2 weeks can't come soon enough. Either Im gona fly and leave the truck where its at again or get to VA and drive my van there.
Ideal would be to get a load close there and then be used in the relief.
Nothing happend when Maplelton got the tornado and I was realy close then.

Tornado last month then leave it to the Army Core of Engineers to mess things up. Whats realy not fare is the Insurance Companies dont have to pay any flood damage as it not an act of God or Nature this flood is man made.
catch 22 in many of the flood Ins policies.

They are shoring up electric stations and such along the railway and crews and equipment have obviously been brought in to work. There are still trains going over the rail bridge at Blair but not sure how long they will be able to keep them out of water. I believe the yard in Mo. Valley will go under next week as Mo. Valley floods.
