Seasoned Expediter
I have been visiting this forum for a while now, so I figured I might as well introduce myself. I live in Florida and have been considering getting into expediting with a cargo van. I have already spoken with Panther and so far they sound pretty good. I do have my Class A cdl but driving a van sounds appealing to me. So, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for all of the experienced expediters out there. Thanks in advance!

Make sure you have little to no debt and cash saved up before you get started. It is tough to make it when you have a bunch of bills to pay and then the van breaks down.

Welcome aboard. I will cut right to the chase. If you want independence and your own vehicle, go with a van. If you want money, go with a straight or a tractor. A solo tractor that knows what he is doing (actually understanding how the carrier operates), will net more in a average week than a van in a month.
