An anagram is a type of word play, the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce a new word or phrase, using all the original letters exactly once. The letters in "anagram" can be rearranged to be "nag a ram", for example. The best ones are anagrams that in some way reflect or comment on the subject.

This thread is for interesting anagrams, that somehow reflect or comment on the subject. You come along, and perfectly on cue in predictable fashion, go off-topic in offering up definitions of anagrams, specifically to be demeaning. What's wrong with you?

And you didn't find "Ruttle" interesting??? :) :)

Demeaning?? No.....Pretty Funny.....Yes.

If all I had said was Turtle = Ruttle.....People might've said "Huh???" So, a definition was provided so that they could say....."ohhhh....OK".

Oh well....since your sense of humor aint around right now.....here's another:

Turtle = Let Rut

Should that one be explained?

Like I said, it's not a thread for definitions of anagrams. If it has to be explained, it probably doesn't very well reflect or comment on the subject.

Should "Let Rut" be explained? No. None of them should need explaining. If they do, they belong in a some other thread. The whole point is for the anagram itself to do the reflecting or commenting on the subject.

Brisco = Cob, sir?

See? That one doesn't need any explaining at all, at least not to anyone from the South. But it's still pretty weak as far as interesting anagrams which comment or reflect the subject. You have to be more clever than that. For example:

Moderator Turtle = A Molted Torturer

No explanation necessary. :D
And you thought I didn't have a sense of humor. <snort>

Moderator Turtle = Armed Turret Tool

Here's an interesting anagram. It is even more interesting because I posted it last night and it disappeared. Oh, maybe I forgot to hit the "post reply" button. I do that sometimes. I type out a post and then I get so excited to see my very own post on the internet that I forget to hit the "post reply". Does this ever happen to you? I thought it might.

Here is the anagram: Rearrange the letters P N E S I to spell out an important part of the human body that is more useful when erect.

Thank you for confirming that I indeed posted that last night. I can't imagine why my post disappeared. For those with inquiring minds that would like to know the answer to the word scramble.

The answer is:
SPINE

(Sorry to disappoint you Charlotte.)

Amazing how the mind kind of shuts down and after it sees what it wants to see...

I, like quite a few others did not even see SPINE.....but the other answer....

goes to prove a guy only thinks with his "Spine".....LOL

Oh c'mon Moot, it's an old joke, and you know that's what people see in those letters. Let's not push the envelope, ok?
