TSA “Security Exercise” Covers 3 States, 5000 Miles

» TSA “Security Exercise” Covers 3 States, 5000 Miles Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!

If you’re still living under the delusion that the TSA is just restricted to airports then think again. A joint VIPR “security exercise” involving military personnel has Transportation Security Administration workers covering 5,000 miles and three states, illustrating once again how the TSA is turning into a literal occupying army for domestic repression in America.

The TSA, in alliance with a whole host of federal, state, local agencies as well as military personnel, is currently conducting a massive “security exercise” throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.

“The participating teams are composed of a variety of TSA assets including federal air marshals, canine teams, inspectors and bomb appraisal officers. They will be joined by state and local law enforcement officials to supplement existing resources, provide detection and response capabilities. The exercise will utilize multiple airborne assets, including Blackhawk helicopters and fixed wing aircraft as well as waterborne and surface teams,” reports the Marietta Times ( TSA conducting security exercise - MariettaTimes.com | News, Sports, Jobs, Ohio, Community Information - The Marietta Times ).

Although the exercise is couched in serious rhetoric about preparedness, it relates to “no specific threat” and the details are nebulous to say the least and seems to revolve around little else than testing out high-tech surveillance equipment and reminding Americans who their bosses are.

“In addition to using three helicopters for aerial inspection, the exercise made use of the Ohio Highway Patrol’s camera-equipped Cessna Caravan, which is capable of transmitting close-up, detailed real-time images of objects on the ground taken from more than five miles away,” reports the Charleston Gazette ( TSA exercise joins Ohio, W.Va. responders* - News - The Charleston Gazette - West Virginia News and Sports - ).

The exercise seems to be about little more than a show of force by the TSA in light of a massive resistance against their agenda, particularly in Texas where a recent bill that would have banned invasive TSA grope downs almost passed and is set to be up for debate again.

Michael Cleveland, federal security director for TSA operations in West Virginia admitted as much when he said the event was about letting, “people know we’re out here.”

As we have documented, TSA grope downs and body scans are now being rolled out on highways, street corners, train stations, bus depots, public buildings, at sports events, and even at local prom nights as part of the VIPR (Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response) takeover of the country.

The TSA has also announced its intention to expand the VIPR program to include roadside inspections of commercial vehicles, setting up a network of internal checkpoints and rolling out security procedures already active in airports, bus terminals and subway stations to roads and highways across the United States.

These internal checkpoints, run by Homeland Security, the Department of Transportation, and the TSA, involve trucks being scanned with backscatter x-ray devices in the name of “safety” and “counter terrorism”.

Since the launch of the Department of Homeland Security’s “See Something, Say Something” program, the DHS has also released promotional material which depicts would-be TSA agents conducting searches at public events, including a Buccaneers football game.

Homeland Security is also developing technology to be used at “security events” which purports to monitor “malintent” on behalf of an individual who passes through a checkpoint.

Forget the airports, the TSA has already spread its tentacles to invade almost every public facet of American society.

President Obama’s election campaign promise to create a domestic “security force,” that is “just as powerful, just as strong” as the US military is now coming to fruition as the TSA expands to turn American into a checkpoint-festooned hellhole where constant fearmongering about terror threats is the justification for the construction of a Sovietized police state.

I don't know how Paul Joseph Watson was able to even write this article. He obviously doesn't sleep at night. He's too paranoid for that. The article is largely a load of Blogosphere crap, where conclusions are reached based on missing facts, and what few facts he used, he used them largely out of context to twist the truth into what he wanted it to be. He starts off by warning people that they might be delusional. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. The two quotes he used from two different newspapers say nothing more than they say, yet he was able to conclude just a snotload of nefarious things going on. I also like how he referenced InfoWars (same site this article originates) 5 different times to make his case. That's like people trying to reference Sarah Palin about Paul Revere on Wiki as a valid source in validating Sarah Palin's comments about Paul Revere.

This exercise in "involving military personnel" that allows the TSA to turn "into a literal occupying army for domestic repression in America," is comprised of the Army Corps of Engineers and the Coast Guard - a coupla guys with a bulldozer and a boat. Ooooooohhh, scary.

"Forget the airports, the TSA has already spread its tentacles to invade almost every public facet of American society."

Shyeah, right. The TSA oversees security for highways, railroads, buses, mass transit systems, pipelines, and ports. That's it. Hardly "almost every public facet of American society." Most Americans are never touched, literally or figuratively, by the TSA. Clearly, Paul Joseph Watson spends a lot of his time at the places where the TSA hangs out, and he thinks most Americans do, too, and that those places comprise almost every public facet of American society.

The really scary backscatter x-ray devices that Paul Joseph Watson apparently has just heard about have been in use for a long time now, both at border checkpoints and at many scale houses. And yes, they are used for in the name of “safety” and “counter terrorism”. Apparently, Paul Joseph Watson thinks that's a really bad idea.

I just don't have the energy to pick it all apart (you're all welcome :D ) but sheesh, this article is just butt ridiculous. And people read it and believe it. One thing to keep in mind is, the TSA is largely a bunch of incompetent dolts.

Really?

Soviet style police state?

The justification has been made LONG before Obama came to office - like under Ford, Carter and Reagan. The patriot act alone provided the foundation for this to happen and in many ways it has.

Let's not forget the banking laws, where they have to report your activity when a transaction takes place over $5k.

OH lets not forget the DEA, FBI, US Marshals and opps ... the Border Patrol - all travel around looking for problems. Not to detract from the good jobs they are doing to protect us but why does the border patrol have to be part of house raids in Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas among a lot of other cities?

Why do they pull people over in the Detroit, Buffalo and NYC areas?

The DEA has unprecedented latitude to search and take property, what is closer to any Soviet style police force than that? It doesn't mean they don't do a good job protecting us but it makes you wonder.
