Hey, they survived - [I hope they are going to foot the bill for their rescue, though] which is better than the family I just read about in Louisiana: picknicking near the Red River, they ignored posted signs warning about strong currents and the need for personal flotation devices. One teenager went in swimming, was followed by six more when he got in trouble, and only one of the seven teens survived, because not one of them knew how to swim. [Neither did their parents, who remained on shore.]
I insisted that my daughters and granddaughters learn to swim as toddlers, because it can be the difference between life & death - but you just can't fix stupid!

I have two daughters in law who can't swim. Don't understand how you can grow up in America and not know how to swim.

when I was a kid,my dad raced boats as a hobby.I wanted a boat of my own,he told me as soon as I learned how to swim he would buy me one.To this day I don't hacve a boat,if in water I sink, yep still can't swim.
