Many of you know I worked for a big Pharma company and with the latest health care thread, I wondered if any of you know the political BS that these companies pull.
Tonight I was flipping through the channels and caught an interview of someone I know about. Dr Rost was a victim of Pfizer; he was also their Senior VP of marketing and wrote a book, “The Whistleblower: Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman†that I thought would never be published.
If you are a reader, I am inclining to suggest this and two other books;
The Whistleblower: Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman by Peter Rost
Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman by Jamie Reidy
The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us and What to Do About It by Marcia Angell
If you read all three books, you will understand what problems we really have with our healthcare system. All the authors are credible.
Also I was going to add a comment from a reader of the book but it brings back too many bad but truthful memories about these companies.
Oh as for politics, I would say that the fact that they, the Pharma companies that is, don't want us to have access to the same drugs they sell in Canada that are cheaper.
