The Occupy folks did it the wrong way because fussing over corporate greed and that sort of stuff never really proved much. The sitters did not gain any control using their technique of rebellion.

Food, food, food is where control starts. Hmm, how do you do that? You can start with families. You can start with food purchase. You fill you basket with what you need and get to the check out counter and start haggling and bargaining over the price you pay. Wait, is this legal, maybe.

For example: Now..... 20 registers with 20 people in line with meat, ice cream, frozen foods and so on, get the picture and each customer is gonna haggle over each of his or her baskets. Sounds to simple doesn't it. Hey, we haggle everyday in this country over prices at flea markets and auto dealerships and buying new homes.... WHY NOT AT THE GROCERY STORE,,WHY NOT.

Occupy had the right idea, they just marketed it wrong, try the above idea in 12 local large chains and see what happens, u want to arrest that many Americans with kids, grandmas, grandpas, the sick and elderly, u b the judge.

Would this work, I dunno.................

It won't work because grocery store checkout clerks won't haggle back with you. "That's the price, you want it or not?" If you want to haggle over food, you need to haggle with someone who is in the position to haggle back with you, like at the fish market, the meat market, the farmer's market.

Agree with Turtle. We will haggle at the fish and farmer's market. Can usually get close to 50 percent off. Cheaper than the grocery store.

I've never had much luck at the meat stores unless it was already discounted or close to the expiration date. Farmers market and fish stores are where we have had the best luck.

The clerk is only the starting point for the experiment, remember Edison was said to be crazy to and now we can see in the dark. Maybe we need to learn to see in the grocery store. Movements start in small currents, very small. Look around the world. Food prices is a good place to start, if we wont haggle or question, then all of us are stooges at the store, including me, following the piped piper just like many did with Obama. All you have to do is be nice, good manners and ask about each item in your basket, 50 baskets times 20 items is only a 1000 items to ask about, what else do our out of work college grads have to do. We go to great lengths in here to question pay per mile in a cv or sttrk, or sprinter, and god bless u everyone Tiny Tim, its the same old story because none of us stick together IMHO> u want low pay , then change it, u want more per mile then change it. A little social change is good once in awhile, u gotta sell the idea and let it settle in and start growing, one seed at a time. Occupy may try it, who knows.
