gooseneck to 5th wheel anybody done it

i have a 45ft gooseneck that i pull with a single wheel freightliner i looking at cuting off the neck and making a 53ft step deck any body have any pics or have done it or know some body that will do it

it is possible... you will have to essentially re-engineer the trailer. there will have to be some extensive welding done to ensure the tongue is secure. Anything is possible when it comes to welding... or darn near anything. Hotshothauling will be a better site to ask that than here... nothing against this site as it's a great site... perhaps try this question in "truck Talk" forum here on ExpeditersOnline.com before you go to the other site. What you want to do is possible... however bear in mind that there will be extensive welding needed. Try asking a trailer shop... by that I mean a shop and/or dealer that ONLY sells and works on trailers... more specifically large trailers. Maybe a featherlite or Great Dane shop. or a dealer that works with flatbed trailers.

welding ant no problem i looked at hotshot hauling there is like 2 topics on there the truck on the first page is what im wanting to do i have called a few dealers and nobody wants to do it if i had a few pics i would try it myself
