Goodtudes PIC A DAY

The quality of your pictures is really good. My brother in law has that camera and he takes some really good pics also. I was looking at that Olympus with the 2 lenses because I thought it was such a good deal. Plus, being that all the dust seems to find your electronics in the truck, I thought the Olympus would be good since it won't collect dust when you're changing filters. I really like the user-friendliness of canons though. The Olympus didn't seem like it was too hard to figure out.

I've had a Nikon point and shoot digital so that I could just grab it and take a quick picture, and I started taking pictures of old barns. I don't know what it is about them, but I pass by so many of them and I think they just have this picture quality about them. I like the old falling-apart ones. Usually I see the best ones when I can't stop to take a picture, or I'm driving and can't get one either. I just find beauty in old things that would be ugly to most. I like to think of the life they used to have. The same with old, rusted cars out in fields, and love windmills. Now if only I could learn to take some pictures as good as the ones in my head...lol!

Great pics Mike! I love the idea. After the changes, we could lock a section just for that!

I can totally relate..
Barns, old things and rust IS a pretty color I spend most of my day turning scenery into compositions but most of the time in too big a hurry to capture it.
Here is a few barn pics (not would you had in mind but it was a barn)
picked it out next to a Pilot in Olympia Wa of all places.

Thanks for the beautiful photographs Mike. As I told you the Golden Gate Bridge with the gulls was my favorite. Now it is a toss up between that and the Santa Rosa sunrise.

Here is Kennedy Space Center on December 6, 2007. I decided to see if the Space Shuttle was launching but now delayed til sometime in January due to a fuel sensor problem. But it was supposed to launch the day I was there but to no avail. I did get some good sunset pics though. Hope yall enjoy sure beats the weather were getting now.

We rolled into Brockton Ma today (ahead of the weather) and am ready for a Key west run:)
The last time we had a Cape run they had the shuttle on the pad (love going out there) so we couldn't get closer than the observation tower.
We did stay in Coco bch (by Ron Jons) and we could see it from there.
If you ever get the chance gotta see a night launch, it will blow you away.

This isn't a good pic because of the crop but you can see the pad on the right as a cruise ship was heading out...
