Good/Bad Places to Live for Expediting ?

HI;
Being a very new neewbie to this field of Expediting ,I of course have a lot of I quess dumb ( Neewbie Type ) questions !!
Well..
I currently live in Western NC which from what I hear is a fairly good place to for Expediting !!
I am originally from Worcester, MA and I have been think of relocating back to the area sometime in the future !
Is New England ( Not New York ) area a good place to live for this?
What are your thoughts on this ??

rmctt2 Hi If you are In a "D" Unit I'd stay In N.C. And If your In a "C" unit then I'd move to the Northeast,But thats just me and I'm sure others would disagree...Good Luck and be safe...

Sorry I forgot to mention the type of vehicle I will be using.
Since I am very new at this , I will be driving either a Cargo Van or Sprinter Van !
Hopefully to eventually move up to a D Unit Straight Truck in the future !
I want to make sure this is what I want to do and do not want to dump a bunch of money into getting a Sraight Truck !
I have family up North in MA , and I hope to get runs up that way to visit on occasion !

I run a D unit but i find my self in both locations quite often it seems. I've been really running the East coast for the past week.

The worst place to live is where i live. Near Detroit... When you want to get a load there is never one going there and once your there you can never get out. But atleast you can be home everyday running minis :+

Don't know about van freight, but straight truck freight is awesome in NE. For us, it's probably as good as NC, but with the potential for more miles.

Getting into Detroit is no prob for us. We got offered a 261 miler from Indy to Dearborn. Why would we go back there if we just spent 5 days getting out???

Yep Detroit area, south east michigan is the worst area to be in. I am sitting here with a less than 75, did two air expedite runs and still sitting here.
