gauges gone crazy

I have an 2004 FL-112 with a mercedes 900 series engine. When you turn on the key you have to wait for the computer to click and then the gauges to go all the way right then back down , then you can turn the key to start it.(normally).
now when you turn the key it does not click nor do the gauges move...you can however go ahead and crank the engine, but when you do and drive down the road, all the gauges are off,,for example speedometer off by 5mph, tach off by 500rpm, temp off 20 degrees, air pressure off 25, etc.

the only time any one has been near the panel was to replace a couple of instrument light bulbs recently.

any ideas??? thanks frank

This happened to me in a Century S/L. There was a whole list of code explanations and troubleshooting procedures list on the back of the visor, and one of them was to reset the computer. I did it and the gauges worked correctly again. So...take a look on your visor back or at the manual and see if the situation is covered.

Nothing like that on the back of my visor on my M2112. Don't know about the truck in question. I just looked, thanks for the tip.

May be just a brain fart with the ECM. The simple solution is to cut the power to it for three or four minutes. Either pull the fuse/relay to it, or unplug it completely. Repower it and see if that corrects it. Worse case scenerio is this fails and you are at the same place you are now. A quick check before you start spending 100 per hour to have someone look at it.
