Does anyone have any numbers that would tell how much fuel is burned in an hour of idling?

There is a good table on the PROHEAT I.C.E. link on EO home page....it has a calculator built in just for this purpose....

Try that !!!!!!!:+

Pretty much depends on your engine size and idle rpm.Big trucks seem to use about a gallon a hour.

gallon an hour is about right. sometimes a little less depending on rpm idle and how warm or cold it is.

proheat cal is good, but if you have a engine computer on your truck,
and you go to the dealer, that services your type of engine,
one of two thing will happen he will give you a printed out of
all the hours and fuel your truck has used and give it to you for free
or cost 45.00 dollar's toget one.
