If the GVWR for a Ford E-350 is 9400# and you subtract the actual weight of the van with dogs, 6,960#, your legal load capacity is 2,440#.
That's what I was thinking! Too many look at the wrong # on the door/jamb sticker.

...and, it is illegal to load it beyond capacity. Most will never be caught doing it, but just wait 'til there's an accident.
Here's a perfect example of not knowing,and how it will hurt us all eventually.A freind of mine got loaded, going to Washington state.In a Ford one-ton.The load consisted of a front axle, complete, and a complete rear drive axle, for a class 8 truck.Total weight was unsure at time of shipping.I would guess this was way too heavy of a load for a van to begin with, but off it went anyway.
