287k. had it since 211k.
4.6. have the timing chains checked for tightness.
4.10 rear end ford 4oed tranny.
at 60/2k rpm mt i can get 18mpg. with just 500 lb mpg drops to 15-16 depending on terrain.
mine weighs 6200 mt(me, fuel, stuff) so i can go to 8660.
my 250 is built with 350 parts and on a 350 chassis.
i always shut it off. idling is a waste. i bought 2 wheel chocks from walmart and chock the left rear tire when loading, parking brake on and the truck in neutral. that way when the vehicle is rocked it is not rocked in park on the tranny.

Greatest investment as far as cargo vans I've made>> that 4.2 has 503,000 hammer down miles, changed plugs, 1 coil and the radiator! Bought it with 19,000 miles! 7.3 still outside- and the 8cylinder got ran over!! 365,000miles only changed coils @ $52 a piece per plug!!

As you all know, I bought my van from Ryder. It was the best thing I have done in awile. From what others on this site have advised me to do, I will be adding new leaf springs , adding a leaf also. did the front springs already.I have been told to add a trans. cooler also, but I noticed there is a good-sized factory cooler in front of the radiator already.but I want to install a trans. temp gauge eventually. Any advice on anything else that I can do would be greatly appreciatted. Thanks alot in advance.
