And the FTC knows about it very quickly. Yet, they wait for...e...ver to act. They wait until big numbers have been scammed, and then they raise their arms and loudly and proudly proclaim one of their (too little too late) victories. Scams, false advertising, products that don't do what is promised, they know about these things from day one. The latest one is the testosterone pill that is supposed to cure everything from a fat, carb-laden beer belly to a small wee-wee to the heartbreak of psoriasis. It's a load of crap and the FTC knows it, yet they are letting these ads be run over and over every day. Eventually, after a bazillion bottles have been sold, they'll shut them down for false advertising, and then crow about it. But, they're all over a mascara ad that's been Photoshopped to show those long and luscious lashes, sometimes before the ad has even appeared in print.None of these companies can do what they claim anyway.
