My famiily, and I, were supposed to leave for the SC coast tomorrow morning. But, as you know, I've been in the hospital since Monday. My pulmonologist now says it will probably be Tuesday before I get out. I'm starting to think I might be sick!!

You folks have a good and prosperous week-end.

I went to the hospital at the beginning of the month for stroke-like symptoms. After staying there for 4 days and 4 tests, they couldn't find anything. Now I have a slew of appointments up until Sept 10. I'm grateful my nephew is moving my truck now; but I hate this hurry up and wait thing. It makes expediting's version pale in comparison.

On the brighter side, I am playing Mr Mom, and going to several orientations regarding my daughter's school. I'm finding out there's a ton of charter schools that have been open in MI for a couple years. LOL

Not trying to take away from your illness, Mike. Just saying I feel your frustration. Hope you're well enough to roll soon! :)

Poorboy, I've been insured under our single-payer, socialist government sponsored health care plan known as Medicare since May of 2008, and I love it.

I've never had a dispute over a claim/bill. My supplemental policy with BC/BS is top notch and at a reasonable cost. So, in my case, I very relieved to not have to deal with the nightmare of private insurance anymore.

BTW, BC/BS had to accept me, even with a diagnosis of Emphysema.

Greg, I believe that the insurance companies, that sell supplimental policies, to folks who are enrolling in Medicare, have to cover pre-exisiting conditions. Acutually, they use it in their advertising.
