Just sitting here reflecting and the question arises as it does every year...
Was it worth it???
For me a resounding yes..
My favorite movie is Second Hand Lions because that is what we are..
We define ourselves two ways,
Did we really live?
If we died today would we have our boots on?
After reflecting there is no doubt we are satisfied.
We didn't pay off a truck 3 years early (wasn't in our plan).
We didn't support a family of five back home running solo (again not in our plan).
We didn't pay off 100k of debt while our crap was stored...
We did however work 300 days and live like royalty in between, visited friends and family along the way and told stories to our grandchildren that made us larger than life.
We did it on our terms and well no regrets...
Tomorrow we are in the wind again and will welcome the New Year on the west coast..
In closing I hope next year I can write another lame post and you will be here to read...
Happy New Year.
Mike
