Dogma and Expedite...

Just sitting here reflecting and the question arises as it does every year...
Was it worth it???
For me a resounding yes..
My favorite movie is Second Hand Lions because that is what we are..
We define ourselves two ways,
Did we really live?
If we died today would we have our boots on?
After reflecting there is no doubt we are satisfied.
We didn't pay off a truck 3 years early (wasn't in our plan).
We didn't support a family of five back home running solo (again not in our plan).
We didn't pay off 100k of debt while our crap was stored...
We did however work 300 days and live like royalty in between, visited friends and family along the way and told stories to our grandchildren that made us larger than life.
We did it on our terms and well no regrets...
Tomorrow we are in the wind again and will welcome the New Year on the west coast..
In closing I hope next year I can write another lame post and you will be here to read...
Happy New Year.

I liked it very much, too. Hope Mr & Mrs Goodtude lead the prosperity parade in 2008, with the rest uf us not too far behind.(Even us half fast marchers :+ )

Mike, best wishes to you and Cyn and your dog Ma in the coming year! I plan to start the new year off with a hot cup of coffee, fire up my computer and log on to E.O. in hopes of finding your annual New Year's post before it gets removed. If I am too late I will re-read last years. I had the foresight to save it to my hard drive before it disappeared, knowing it was destined to become a cult classic.

p.s. I will have no coffee in my mouth while reading it.

Good post tude dude. Hopefully we'll all be saying it was worth while a year from now.

Tj, that's an interesting new candy cane, phallic symbol avatar you have there. Hmmm... There may be things I don't know about you.
