Levis quality has gone down. Here is the proof, in the 70s -late 90's a pair of jeans would last for years, since 2005, I noticed they would last about a year.

Im a skinny guy and there is no reason why they should rip in the crotch after about a year.
Lee and Wrangler last for over two years when I was working construction and they NEEDED to be washed after work.

Keep your mind out of the gutter.

I have Wranglers that have lasted the better part of 10 years. I just don't have the need to throw them out. Quality at a good price.

I have one pair of Levis, and they're really thin. They wouldn't last a week's work in the garden, without getting a hole somewhere.
