I was listening to NPR this morning on the way back home and then turned on the BBC. Both had an interesting take on what happened in Egypt, well more or less what didn't happen in Egypt and why.
The reporters interviewed some Egyption 'experts' who explained why the country didn't have the bloodshed nor had the military go against the people like it is happening in Libya.
The reason is obvious -
The Egyptian military has taken some of the money it has received from the US and invested that money into part of the infrastructure of Egypt. These investments include hotels, cleaners, wholesalers, fuel distribution outlets and a number of retail outlets. The military was very careful in how they handled the situation, not all was perfect until a few Generals came to this conclusion;
We are not going to shoot our customers.
