Martha’s Vineyard already bussed them out of there.
They don’t want them in their backyard, but yours is fine.

DeSantis's political instincts are far superior to Trump's. That's why I was surprised to see DeSantis make the refugee-shipment blunder he did. If you prefer, call them migrants, immigrants, illegal aliens, or other such thing. It does not matter. They have rights in this country and they are exercising them. In the lawsuit described below, they call themselves "recent immigrants who fled Venezuela."

As political blunders go, this one is a doozie. It has legs, meaning it persists in the news. Today's lawsuit, in which the people transported to Martha's Vineyard are suing DeSantis, means the story will persist longer. The story's persistence is further fueled by the investigation a Texas sheriff opened regarding this matter.

DeSantis is playing defense this time. He has lost narrative control. He has lost the initiative. And it is said he has lost a significant number of Hispanic votes with this heartless political stunt.

It's only a blunder if viewed through a liberal lens, and that's how it's being seen and portrayed by MSNBC, the NY Times and their ilk. DeSantis isn't concerned about them or their liberal fans - he'll never get their votes. This was a political move that successfully exposed the hypocrisy of limousine liberals, and conservatives are loving it. BTW, these weren't legitimate "refugees", they were illegal aliens that shouldn't have been in the US in the first place.

Not hardly - he's controlling the narrative and emphasizing a critical election issue at a critical time. People are now reminded of the southern border mess, and that Biden has been shipping illegals in planes and buses from TX and AZ to locations all over the country. Maybe the next Air DeSantis flight will land in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

It was only a matter of time before the Democrats started their attacks on DeSantis. He's obviously a serious presidential candidate for 2024 and would easily defeat any of the possible Democrat hopefuls that come to mind at this point. They'll also use this "personal destruction" strategy on any other serious Republican candidate that emerges for critical Congressional or gubernatorial seats. The template has been established with Trump and SCOTUS nominees, so we'll have non-stop attacks, lawsuits, bimbo eruptions, you name it. If only the Republicans would be more aggressive and respond in kind; the Dems provide a target-rich environment with which to work.

The reason they will get more is because they are a sanctuary state.....Florida is not a sanctuary state.
Here's another great example of liberal hypocrisy and their compassion for illegal aliens that should be dealt with by someone other than themselves. Their notion that the USA should be the world's homeless shelter to 3rd world vagrants, criminals, and anybody else who wants to walk across our non-existent border is perfectly acceptable to these limousine liberals, so long as they're not in their back yard. Meanwhile, cities like Eagle Pass, TX (pop. 28,500) have to deal with thousands of illegal invaders every day.

"But we will create a new normal here in our infrastructure and have a humane welcome for people in an efficient, you know, service provision."
"But we don’t have the ability – we’re not Texas," Bowser claimed.

If it was not DeSantis but some other person who is a high-profile Republican who is a potential presidential candidate, would you expect anything different?

Actually, what do you expect? What is, for you, the appropriate Democratic response to a Republican who may run for president?

I presume you do not expect Democrats to hold warm house parties and a series of fundraisers for that Republican. I presume you do not expect the Democrats to host a series of public forums to which the Republican prospective candidate would be invited to speak at length and share his/her views. I presume you do not expect the Democrats to run no opposing candidate at all and instead forfeit the presidential election.

But what do you expect? In your mind, what is the appropriate Democratic approach to a prospective Republican candidate for president?

No. I believe I made that clear.

For starters, they might try presenting a criticism that has some merit.

DeSantis is just sharing his love for his fellow man and letting the Martha crowd in on this love connection, now what could be more loving then that??
