Dead forum

I get an error message on my computer and the forum is dead. On the iPad, going through safari via the same wireless router it works fine. My other two forums work fine on the computer. EO apparently is partially broken.

We can't duplicate that problem at all. It seems to be a local problem - is there a specific thread? We ruled out a ISP problem on your part. Have you tried Firefox?

It is the entire forum plus classifieds etc. When I restarted my computer it loaded the latest Firefox but still the same. I will try a different browser in a few minutes but until now have always used Firefox and had no trouble.

In Firefox, under the FILE menu, make sure Work Offline isn't checked.

Mine is 10.0.1..say I am up to date and also on the "release" update channel....works fine....Firefox

I searched and found a Firefox 11 BETA release....you may have to delete that copy and go to the 10.0.1 release

Every time a browser is mentioned, I wonder why?

The site software isn't made for one browser and this is the only site that mentions the use of a browser to fix problems that happen.

Leo..you are using a BETA product...not even released yet....it just MAYBE the browser...

I have no problem with the 2 browsers I use.....and either do MOST of the members...

I could download 11 and see if mine works, but that is EO's job.....

Leo - I didn't understand you were using a browser version that's in beta. They will fix that problem - it's not an EO bug that we can address or fix. Firefox will fix that before they release it.

Again - the issue is with a browser that is in BETA. FF will address and fix the bug.

I don't know why I have a beta. I have Firefox set to automatic updates. Every few days it requires a restart of the computer. This is the latest version I automatically received. I looked for a check for updates button but didn't find one. I guess for now I just stick with chrome to get to the forum.
