Dangerous Parking lots

On Oct 16 while stuck in Laredo went to the Walmart off I35 exit 3 while there they had a wreck in the parking lot next door some idiot driving 4 wheeler speeding thru the lot T-bones another 4 wheeler , then last Friday at the Pilot east of Shreveport a bulk tanker taking a short cut thru a parking space and turning right hits a parked Walmart truck and drags the Walmart truck out of its parking space tearing the hood off and puncturing holes in the fuel tank and other damage with fuel leaking all over the plade of course the Haz Mat teams had to be called out. What is it with some drivers think they are in the Indy 500 going thru parking lots?

i dont understand that either. sitting here in the truck stop past couple days they are driving like they are in last place and fixing to be lapped. a truck was beside me a spread axle fb, liked to have hit front of truck he was turning to sharp and i am not even pulled all way up. a truck was here when we pulled in and is still here idling and leaking anti freeze. they came out and put speedi dry down around him. i talked to a mgnr and the said they will take care of it. he's still here and he's parked near front and they can see this and the driver came out pulled hood looked shut got in truck and closed curtins . go figure, thought about calling his company and a truck leased to same co has been beside him all this time.

these are the same drivers that ask on the interstate what lane do I need to be in when someone else wrecks and traffic backs up.. I think that is the most stupid question on the road. Like they are going to do magic and make up for lost time, not.:D

Just because you ask a question about which lane do i need since does not make one stupid or drive like those wrecks I mention above they may have a lane closed due to the wreck and instead of waiting till the last minute to get over to the lane that is open and traffic can move smoother if everyone would not wait till the last minute to merge and force those in the open lane to stop to let you in same thing goes when coming up to a construction zone with a lane closed

Actually, the smoothest way to merge is to use both lanes to the merge point, then take turns [it takes all the fun out of it for the aggressive jerks who like to cruise past to cut in the front], but it's seldom done that way, sigh.:(

I am a strong proponent of speed bumps. I think rest areas should have speed bumps too. Have you seen how fast cars just blaze through the rest areas and then slam on the brakes and power swoop into a parking space? It's like the indianapolis 500. Every freakin soccer mom driving a mini-van thinks they are Mario Andretti.
