CV Tires

I have a choice of 4 new Bridgestone Vsteel tires or Firestone Transforce HT tires on new GM wheels. Which would be the better choice? Which would go more miles and which would have better winter traction? Also has Hankook or Michelin but those are on Ford rims. I really don't want to swap out from Ford rims, they are all factory installed and balanced already. Thanks

Go with the Transforce ... best tires I ever ran!

One small qlitch .. the AT model is rather noisy on the road ...

The Firestones are HT, not AT. I'm guessing here, Highway Tread or All Terrain.

The Firestone Transforce A/T's are awesome, especially in the deep snow and ice, as well as rain.They are not that noisy.And they have twice the tread of a H/T., and will obviously last longer.They are an excellent tire.

HT=Highway tread

AT=Agressive tread.

I replaced the EOM tires on my Sprinter at 65,000 .... with Firestone AT's .... and they were still good when I sold it with 200,000 miles on it. I don't think there is a better tire out there!

Amen. I just got a full set of these and was amazed at the ride, increased quiet, and improved handling over what I had. I think Bill has a real deal on the two sets he mentioned, though, which makes it very well worth doing.

I have the Michelin Lt245/75r16 m/s2 over 100,000 and barely even worn.
