As is so often the case, the news media publish every available detail about the perp but hardly anything about the victims and their families other than names. This sad situation seems like just another failure of the legal systems of both AR and WA. He had a list of felony convictions and charges a mile long (including the recent rape of a child) and was still loose in public. Acquaintances and family knew he was crazy and dangerous, yet nobody could do anything to get him locked up. Why the legal systems of two different states would show compassion and restraint towards somebody like this is beyond explanation.
