You might be surprised at what or who the ACLU will back ..... philosophy and politics sometimes makes for strange bedfellows .....

Having said that, the current ACLU, and it's current national head, seems more into far out stuff (alot of it pretty left-wing) .... wasn't always that way ....

This is not a thread to argue the pros-cons or the right or wrong of the abortion issue. It is however a thread to discuss whether or not those of us who object to the proceedure, should be forced to pay for it.

I'm surprised that no one has really commented on the true fundamental issue (save for OVM, in a roundabout way) - the government that governs least, governs best.

Government is involved in just way too many things for our own good. This is but yet another example.

The answer to your question is - no, you shouldn't have to pay.

Many in here talk about too much government interferince in our lives. I think we need to bring down this government. It is WAY out of control. After I finish this load I will finish something I have been working on. A set of demands that we should impose on our elected representitives. I promise you that almost no one in office today wants what I have written. It would force them to be accountable for everything that they have done or will do. If there is anything out there that the Dumbecrats and Rebumlicans don't want is us to know what is going on. It is time for us to control our government. It is our right to do so. Watch it Joe...they'll have you declared a "Domestic Terrorist" trying to bring down the government!! They use the Patriot Act on ya!! Wiretaps, video surveilance, and no search warrants! Hold you for questioning indefinitely, deny you a lawyer...and THEY can do it!! Bush inadvertently set up Obama to do this...

We will bring it down at the ballot box. It would be soooo easy to do if we really tried. I just finished my load I most likely will be off the weekend. I can finish my "Demands" to the government. Put these into effect and the next election would see a blood bath of incumbents biting the dust. Massive carnage. Layoutshooter
