never watched Home Improvement a sit com?
I saw half of one show once by accident. I don't really like most sit-coms so I don't watch them. I think that the last situation comedy that I really liked was the Andy Griffith Show. When Ron Howard was Opy Taylor. Man am I old. They often used comedy to teach good solid moral lessons. From what I have seen today most of the sitcoms are just a collection of one liners, mostly semi-foul mouthed and kinda vulgar. Not much in the way of situation either. For the most part what I have seen lately is fairly poorly written as well. I know, I am a relic and old fashoned. Well good for me. LOL I bet you can't tell that I don't let what others think influence my thinking. Layoutshooter

Thats why I don't care for Eddie Murphy too much of the F word in his movies....I don't think its necessary to get the desired effect....I watched Beverly Hills Cop once I think and never any sequels....
It is amazing how a comedian like Red Skelton could make you laugh without every cussing. Even when he was poking fun of more "adult subjects" it was funny without being vulgar or using foul words. I guess I just don't fit in well with todays people, thank God. Layoutshooter

I don't know about simpler. People were much more curtious than they are today. More kids had moms and dads. Crime was a lot lower. I think, for the most part, the '60's did far more to hurt our sociaty than help it. We kinda threw out the baby with the bath water. Oh well, at least I won't be around to see just how horrible it is going to get. I am happy to see that the "Culture of Corruption" that the Dumbecrats capainged soo hard against is very much alive and well with the new Administration. I would have hated to have "Change" in government. I have gotten soo used to sleaze, liers and felons in office I can't even imagine an honest polition these days. Layoutshooter

Those ideals are made fun of now. We worship sleaze and crud. We excuse crime and corruption. Those of us who have standards are ridiculed, called names and told that our ideals are now obsolete. Imagine, honesty, integrety, honor (american spelling) are looked at as obsolete. Now the ends justify the means. How you get yours no longer matters, just so you have it. Layoutshooter

One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."
Personally, I agree that there's a place for family planning and that there are lots of people that have no business having babies just to generate a welfare check. But public funding of abortion clinics and family planning centers is not economic stimulus no matter how you cut it. This is just another interview that displays what a dunce this woman is. it is just one more step towards "socialism".. simple population control through birth control and abortion, paid more in ever increasing amounts by the government. not mandatory yet, but give it time...... its all of osamabas "hope and change".....
I'm in the same predicament. I truly believe that abortion is a crime against human rights. I am looking for a way to object to my tax dollars being used to support providers of abortion. I have sent an email to the NCHLA (national committee for human life amendment). Haven't heard anything.
FYI, the Policy that Pres. Obama reversed last Friday had an exception clause for rape, incest and the life of the mother. Also, all but two of the hundreds of the organizations that we give international aid, agreed with the policy of NOT providing abortions or promoting abortions. Many of them, simply because the developing country's heritage and/or religion believe that abortion is wrong. The two biggest abortion providers in the U.S. and Britain were the only two that did not change their policy and accept our money, both billion dollar abortion industries. So the term "Global Gag Rule" that the opponents of the Policy dubbed it, doesn't really make sense, because the aid was going to the countries all along.
AND, is this "our country's economic time" to be sending hundreds of millions of dollars to the abortion industry?????

I have no problem with abortions for health of the mother, incest or rape. I don't agree or believe in abortion for birth control or ANY other reason I think is just dispicable. Killing a baby for convience or to avoid the responsibly for the results of participating in an adult act. We should require everyone to accept responibilty for thier actions, killing a baby is NOT responsible. Adoption is a much better option. I really don't anyone who would consider abortion as a way out to raise a child. To me that just proves that they are un-fit to raise children. So little respect. Layoutshooter
