Better Wake Up Barry

North Korea has test fired TWO more short range ballistic missles just days after a second underground nuke test.

Out buddy Barry, along with the rest of the U.N. (usless nutties) are TALKING loudly. That will surely stop this action.

Even NBC (nutty broadcasting company) stated that this is the pattern of North Korea, blow up a few things, make some threats, and the world will buy them off.

The U.S. and the U.N. are rewarding North Korea for these actions and they continue to do so. In the mean time they become a greater threat every day. Couple this with what thier partners in crime, Iran, is up too and we are in REAL DANGER!!

Barry had better wake up. The U.N. is at best a "Paper Tiger" with a history of doing nothing. Just look at the 13 years of non-enforcement of Iraqi WMD's after the first Gulf War. We MUST act soon, or this will quickly get out of hand. Sitting by doing nothing did NOT work in 1935 and it will NOT work now!!:eek::mad:

Obumma is Just as Stupid as The UN and Won't do a Thing Until It's Too Late! They will Threaten them with Sanctions and If Necessary Military Forces But will Not keep his words. And You are Correct Layout, They will Once Again Buy them Off----Until they need more Money then they will do it All Over Again.. Now Iran on the Other Hand with Their Mentally Ill President(Sound Familiar?) Will Just Laugh at Obumma Like he did at Bush and do as He Darn well Pleases. I Can Forsee Israel getting Involved then.. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the Illustrious President of the US will Do-----------Nothing!!:D

In a prior post just before the first missle test I remarked that we should not only take out thier launch pads before they had the chance to test the missle AND thier nuke plants. I kinda took it in the ear over that. Not that it is anything new. I did say back then that unless we did something and stopped them that this would escalate. We and the world did nothing, and it is escalating just as I said it was. Experinence matters, so does having a full set of "stones" Obama has neither. Again to all you who would stick it in my ear, THIS IS NOT GOING AWAY AND IT WILL GET WORSE. WE, the Useless Nutties (UN) will do nothing, have to put a stop to this now or we will have to fight a really big one later. It is going to be one or the other. Take your pick.

It is disconcerning that they are developing stronger weapons. The problem that I see with pre-emptive strikes is that they have not used them in an assault. I realize it is a threat, but all countries have a right to develop weapons. Even if they were to launch an assault with the few they have, I believe they know it would be their end. They know that we would retaliate any strike on Israel. If they were to launch anything in our direction they would be finished.
There is alot at stake, for us to just hit them first, we would need to know where China, Russia and other world powers would stand.

I will not even pretend to be well enough informed to make the right call here, there are too many unknown factors. The one thing that I am sure of is that absolutely no posters here have enough information to make a sound judgement on what to do either.

To those here that pretend that they do have the answers to this are kidding themselves, the readers or both.

We should all be quite relieved that those who post their "blow em up" drivel have absolutley no say in what is to be done or not done.

You ALMOST posted an totally lucid, valid post Doug. It would have been perfect had you left off the last two paragraphs. The last two are just your drivel vs. my drivel. Instead of that why did you not give an alternitive way to counter this threat. I would REALLY and TRUELY been interested in how you would handle something like this.

I base my ideas on history and my backround. There are a Zillon other ideas on how to handle stuff like this.

I don't believe that the UN will do anything and Barry is not likely too. Once they do attack someone it will be too late to stop it. It will then get out of hand.

How, based on you knowlege of history and back round would YOU counsel Barry if given the chance.

I can promise you that the Intell business is not whimping on this one and has plans on what to hit and how to hit it. Those plans include the following: Most effective way to knock out the assets in question. Most effective ways to limit civilian damage and most effective ways to insure that this threat never shows itself in North Korea again.

Let's hear you ideas.

By the way, be sure to include the following:

Your assesment of North Korea's capabilites both now and in the next six months.

Your assesment of prior actions of both the U.S. and the U.N. as to effectiveness etc.

Your ideas on how to insure that North Korea is NEVER able to launch such an attack

AND

Your ideas on how to isure that North Korea becomes a meaningful memeber of both Asia and the world in general.

That is what the Agencies I used to work for are doing now. That is what the DOD is doing.

I want to know YOUR ideas. It would be fun to see.

The problem isn't so much as North Korea launching a nuclear attack. The launching of two short range missiles and the underground testing of a nuclear explosion does not make it more likely that they will do anything, as the world, including China and Russia have denounced the tests. China is particularly mad about it. Knowing the defense commitments the US has of Japan and South Korea, North Korea launching an attack would be certain suicide, and they know it.

But, it does add another dimension to all this, that of a very defiant and stubborn North Korea becoming a facilitator of the nuclear ambitions of others, including terrorists. North Korea would not likely turn down the opportunity to wreck a little havoc by proxy, especially if they and the terrorists have a common enemy, namely us.

But I don't know what I'm talking about.

No Turtle, that was a VERY good assesment. There are others but it is VALID and may be correct. That is sort of what I want Doug to do. We learn by gaining insite into others thoughts.

My response to you would be: I don't believe, based on past history, that Russia and China are REALLY mad over this test. My bet would be that they are funding all of this work and just "making noise" to hide what they are truely doing.

You see Doug, and anyone else who might be interested, I am asking you to do this for a REAL reason. When you are given a "RIGHT" it comes with an equal or GREATER responsibility. My 2nd Amendment rights OR the right to vote. We all need to THINK things through more. I NEVER accept what a "party" "union" or any other groups tell me. I ALWAYS try to form my own opinion. To do that I question others and everything. I "bounce" ideas off as many as I can. Then I take my experience, my study of history, my study of the current situation and the TRY to form my ideas. I am challening you to do the same. Not to parrot, but think BEYOND what you have in the past. It can be not only important but fun. More after my load tomorrow. I am headed for Miami to Houston at 14 zillion per mile!! Not a bad load!! Try it Doug, I do think you can.

It's a real shame that the President, the UN,and any one else that needs to find all the answers are not members of EO. It seems that all the answers are here. There realy over looking the truck driver politicians. Let me be sure to say,I have no idea what needs to be done in this case but I can also say nobody else here does either. regardless of back ground, the world has changed, the game has changed, and all the players have changed. Sure we can march in and nip this thing in the butt and not think for a moment that action would provoke what we are trying to prevent. Now if it were like Iraq,we could use the excuse of nukes to invade knowing there was no chance of provoking a launch because there realy are no nukes.

If you nip it in the bud, "nip it in the bloom", as to prune a plant from escalating out of control, you prevent things from getting out of control.

If you nip it in the butt, you just pіss it off. :D

Unless you mean some weird sexual reference to the Japanese. Nip it in the butt? Get it? Never mind.:p

Oddly enough, there was a time when there was a campaign to banish that phrase in California because (some felt) it was racist.

But they nipped that one in the bud.

The greater problem could well be with Iran, who is sitting in the proberbial bleachers right now watching what the US reaction will be to the North Korean activity. They, and every other country on the planet knows that the UN is useless. With that in mind, they hear our new president issue the following stern warnings on Memorial Day:

"The United States and the international community must take action in response. North Korea will not find security and respect through threats and illegal weapons..."
"We will work with our friends and our allies to stand up to this behavior and we will redouble our efforts toward a more robust international nonproliferation regime that all countries have responsibilities to meet."

Today's tests are glaring evidence of the contempt N. Korea and Iran hold for this so-called "international nonproliferation regime" and the limp-wristed diplomacy that has been attempted over the years to achieve it. Add to this mess the fact that Obama is in the process of cutting funding for missle defense systems, among other things. We have no choice to sit back and see how this plays out. However, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence when the best our inexperienced president has to offer are platitudes about "international responsibilities".

All talk and no action. I think that they WANT this to turn into a full blown "shootin' war" They have no other way to turn up the economy and want to get rid of a few million or so.

North Korea launched ANOTHER missle today. Barry's response? He appointed a "Cyber-Czar". Now THAT makes me feel much much safer. By the way, he is appointing all these "Czars" Who controls them? How the the House have oversite over what they do or is Barry just spreading the fascism? Let us all remember that the congress is suspossed to have control over money spent and policy, NOT the Executive branch. Sounds more like a total take over of government to me.

I like the comments on the BBC today, when asked what the US response was to NK, the person in the WH said "we have asked for the UN to meet, which they indicated a meeting of the security council may take place as soon as the end of next week"

We dont' need any more Czars, especially ones who never were in the private sector and beside NK doesn't have the resources to harm us like that, however China has and has been doing a great job hacking our governement computers.

You got to ask yourself "why does the FILL IN THE BLANK have to have computers hooked directly up to the internet that holds senitive data?"
