hello! need help...
i currently work for yellow freight and i am looking to get out of the union and become an owner operator. Due to the massive layoffs at yellow, roadway and usf. i want to get something going while i still can.
i see a lot of older trucks 1998 up that are out there for sale. i can buy most of these cash without financing. im not affraid of the maint. on an older truck because i have a freightliner mechanic in the family. my question is before i buy is are there any companies out there that lease purchase their trucks for 24 months and you own it out right?
also with landstar or other companies like them, what is the age limit that they will accept in their fleet. i see a lot of older model flat beds, and reefers running the road, and am trying to find a good option for me.
