aux generators

Any one having or have had problems with their aux generator, or finding someone reliable to do repair work on their aux short of taking it to canada? If so what sort of problems and how have you resolved them.

if it's a proheat or rigmaster or any other type of genset give bill

he has 2 guy's plus himself who work wonder's on them and will have them

Most trailer shops that repair reefer units can service aux units also, as they are somewhat similar things. Just call around to trailer shops around where you live, you'll probably get a referral in no time. Some auto shops that work on A/C might look at them too.

You can try Onan's (AUX) all-purpose number 1-800-888-ONAN, which automatically connects you to the closed ONAN distributer to you, or wait until you pass thru Detroit and take it to the Alumni-Bunk folks beside the Detroiter.

WARNING: If you have work done there, carefully inspect it. Their jacklegs like to leave out some screws and stuff when they put it back together.

Vernon Thanks for the info, only problem is any time I have called Onan and asked about repair for my aux you can almost hear them scratching their head while saying what kind of ox is it? as for taking any thing to aluma bunk in woodhaven they are part of the original problem, I would rather have root canal with out novacain. thanks again though for the info.

OK, let me add a little more. On the www.auxgenerators.com website, they say you/we can call 1-877-843-5289 or visit any PACCAR dealer (Kenworth or Peterbilt) or contact parts net system (no idea how yet).

truckgen just opened another repair facility besides there main one in Jacksonville, Fl. One on each end of town. They do good work on my unit without game playing ect. Certainly know there stuff. We have one of there units for a year now and are very satisfied with it. Puts a aux or a rigmaster to shame. Check them out as they have a web site ect.

At this point I'm happy I don't have an AUX or any other thing that is tied into the truck's main A/C system. Holy CR#@, the system is complex enough, without adding another little system on to it. As a newcomer to the art of refigeration, and mind you all it's as much art as science, I have no problems understanding why these auxilliary climate control lawnmowers develop problems quickly. If the system is tied into the climate control of the truck itself, the problem can be anywhere, not just in the AUX. The teeniest-tiniest pinhole leak in any A/C system will keep it form staying properly charged and working right, and when you complicate that which is already complicated, you could be struggling all summer long to get functioning A/C.

should have mentioned that the truck gen is a stand alone unit. We have a ICT sleeper and the a/c is a roof mount. Good unit as you can be in Arizona's 105 degree heat and it is still throwing ice cubes!!
