Some good points here, but let's go over these one by one:
1. In jail; please - do we have to once again go over the list of Democrats associated with the Clintons that have been or still are in the calaboose?
2. Going to jail; who would that be? Will they share a cell with William Jefferson (D - LA)? But Sandy Berger cut a deal after being convicted of destroying federal property from the archives, so he won't be part of the pickup games on the exercise lot.
3. True, but why ridicule his kids? We didn't make fun of Chelsea Clinton for being the ugliest first daughter since Amy Carter.
4. Do you really want to open this can of worms? Remember Slick Willie - he was CONVICTED of lying to a grand jury. The jury's still out on Libby.
5. How much Democrat scampering was going on to stay out of the Berger trial, not to mention all the others during the Clinton dynasty.
6. I'm not aware of any Republicans that have changed their party affiliation lately.
7. I'll give you that one - neither Bush nor any other politician has seen a spending bill lately they didn't like.
Political ethics is the biggest oxymoron in the history of the English language, and given the recent history with the Clintons the GOP certainly doesn't have a monopoly on legal problems. However, the main problem with the GOP is that they have this stupid rule that anyone indicted (not convicted) of so much as jaywalking has to resign from their committee chairmanships. The Democrats don't have this rule; so while Tom Delay gets taken out by a corrupt sleazy Democrat county prosecuter who has yet to prove a single accusation, Wm. Jefferson is caught with $90K cold cash in his freezer and is given a choice position on the foreign relations committee. And don't forget congressman Alcee Hastings (D-FL), the only federal judge to be impeached and removed from office since the civil war was being seriously considered for chairmanship of the judiciary committee by Frau Pelosi until public outrage caught up with her. Bottom line is, both parties have always had their legal problems. However, the Clinton years are not that far in the distant past and here we have the other one running for president. Maybe it would be a good idea to run a tally of their current or former associates that are either mysteriously dead or have done time behind bars before Slick Hillie gets too far along.
