Dropped near Chicago yesterday, and wanted to wait a few hours before heading home, to see if they could load me. Was called on an offer, and he said he noticed I had 5 hours left. I knew I had more than that, until I pulled up my hours screen on the QC... 5 hours left on my 70! Made it home with 21 minutes to spare.
Sometimes you don't realize how hard you've actually been running. This was one of those times for me. Also, it's easy to pizz away minutes on E-logs, as compared to paper logging, when you just log 15 mins for everything. I don't know how many times I check in at a shipper, go back to the bunk to wait, and totally forget I'm 'on duty'. I'll be working on that.
