They were not able to get much of an increase due to efforts by so called environmentalists stopping them. We also have not built any new refineries in decades. We no longer have the capacity to produce enough refined fuels so we also have to import gas. Again, left wing environmentalists are stopping the efforts. High fuel prices is what the left is after. They have stated that on more than one occasion. They are winning.
