Amazon thinks they can do it cheaper with there own trucks.

Maybe we'll lose some of the them pesky no name wannabe expeditors in favour of something closer to home....

Isn't amazon big enough it could just buy ups?

Too much of a nightmare. I would think they would be better off building their delivery system to meet their needs. Different model and different people. The best way to get what you want is to do it yourself.
