Oh, Greg, all polititions suck. I don't like or trust ANY ONE in ANY party today. Those people at Gitmo should have never even made it there. No uniform in combat? POW (pow, as in gunshot not Prisoner of war) , game over. That simple. IF, we had to just capture and hold, why did we advertise the fact? These people are out to kill US. well here's another one for you, we have this home grown terrorist, John Lindh who actually committed treason. He is one of the hand full of people who actually should be put to death in the most grusome manner.
The press helped humanize him, instead of using his choosen name - Sulayman al-Faris, they insisted on using his real name in the press.
He should have been tried as he really is, someone who committed treason. but he got free legal aid, he got a lot of sympathy and he is going to be out of isolation.
I want to see my tax dollars spent right, I am going to start the Free John walker Lindh website and try to get him free so he can walk among us.

Remember that freedom of the press does not mean that a newspaper can publish secrets that help the enemies. They don't have the right to operate above the common citizen and never have had that right. They protect less today than they did 40 years ago, the organized press has no country, no obligations.

I'm not saying that the concept of manipulating the Constitution for the greater good isn't without merit.My point was that not only do certain whiners only seem to be able to see one side of nearly any issue and use limited facts to further their agenda, they are just mad that their guy lost. 4. Bafoon Barry has PROVEN that he has NO intention of Protecting or Defending the Constitution of the United States. Yesterday he took away our Right to Bear arms where ever and when ever we want too. That is in DIRECT contridiction of the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution which is part of an amazing Document called the Bill of Rights, which layed out all the RIGHTS that are reserved for the PEOPLE, NOT the government.
5. His unwillingness to keep his Oath of Office PROVES that he is not a man on honor. It proves that swearing an oath BEFORE GOD HIMSELF means NOTHING to him. A man like that cannot be trusted for anything.
Clear now? It is NOT about winning or lossing elections. It is NOT about my guy or your guy. It is all about our freedom as a people. I will Protect and Defend the Constitution of The United States up to and including giving my life for it. NO man nor government has the RIGHT to deny me my RIGHTS!! NO ONE!!

I was quite "clear" before that rant...I will say this though: I am with you on the fact that an oath should stand for something, and I don't support either Democrats or Republicans on the basis of their party only. For you to say that this man is not a man of honor, knowing what you THINK you know about him, sounds vindictive to me. What specific actions, if any cause you to call the president himself dishonorable? What part of his oath of office specifically? The line between your "right to b**ch", as you put it, and fringy fanatical ramblings is often blurred. I ask again: What specifically did President Obama do for you to say he is not honorable? That was NOT a rant, it was a real life statement. I don't like Obama. He has no character therefor he cannot be trusted. Most congressmen and senators are the same. They all lied about who knew what on this subject and are trying to circumvent the Constitution with this SO CALLED law they are trying to pass to GET BACK from those who were paid based on a legal contract. Show me, if you would, where assault rifles are mentioned in the U.S. Constitution anywhere. I know this isn't the point, but, how can you in good conscience be angry about a ban on a weapon that is manufactured for no reason other than to kill large numbers of people very quickly? Good. My dislike is based on he lack of judgement, lack of any real experience, lack of any moral fiber or values. I distrust him because he will do anything to do away with our Constitiution and our freedoms. I believe his current mission to "gut" our military and intelligence capibilities will lead to attacks and the deaths of U.S. Citizens just as the cuts that Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton made did. I base on my 20 years of EXPERIENCE wihich is 20 more than Obama/Biden/Hillary have, COMBINED!!! I distrust him because he distrusts me and all those who, like me, chose to excerise our Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms. I don't want Socialized medicine. 3. I even go as far to say that it DOES allow be to own an assault weapon. The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is 3 fold. 1. Defense of the Nation 2. Defense of family, home and property 3. To allow the people to defend themselves when the U.S. government becomes oppressive to the people. The power in this nation resides with the People, not the government. We must have the means to take on the government when needed. Besides, when the 2nd Amendment was passed they were allowed to own the assault weapon of the day.
4. I was NOT speaking of the propsed ban on SO-CALLED assault weapons.
What I was talking about was his Excutive order that he signed two days ago, That order outlaws my Right to carry a concealled, loaded firearm while in National Forests and National Wildlife refuges. I often do this when hunting. I don't want to get my sidearm wet so I wear it inside. I often carry a sidearm to use if I need to put a deer down that I did not get a clean kill on. (that has only happened twice in the last 20 years) In summer I sometimes carry one when fishing in more un-savory area's. Like in certain sections of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge. There are cases every year of crimes, such as robbery and assault, being committed against people fishing in the Refuge. Beides I am 58 years old, I don't think I can handle my self any more against a 16 year old thug. Obama took an Oath before God and Man to both Protect and Defend the Constitution. That order he signed proves that he does not believe in our Constitution. He has to protect it all or he protects nothing.
He broke his oath, therefore he is NOT a man of honor. That is the meaning of honor, living up to your oaths and responsibilities. Obama does not.
