A Threat RE: Pictures at a Casino?

Long story since I have never been to a Detroit Casino. Here is my post to give into the Blackmail of the so called photos. Opps last time I ever saw a Detroit Casino, I helped push Marks, Mother (known him since K-Garden) out the back door both of us giving her $10.00 so we could go watch the Hockey game and come back and get her afterwards. She won thousands on our $10.00 gifts and did not share a dime. At least the Wings won.

This Post is suppost to be about fuel MPG and not Gambling (by the way). This has been one of those great weeks, lucky at the right place right time and my turn. Add the fact that I have had more than enough time to drive 55 spending countless extra hours behind the wheel vs 65. @ 47.00 an hour for my X-tra time not a bad wage, almost as good as one of the big 3.

Here is the difference though, at $2.80 a gallon time was more valuable than the savings or was it? At $4.61 the difference in a 650 mile run doing 7.5 or much better (Tractor Trailer) vs doing 6.5 on this particular load was the difference of 20 gallons X 4.65= $93.00 that I would have other wise given to the Arabs. Do this five tiimes week, utilize the FSC to your advantage and your fuel costs are FREE. I hate what its doing to the Economy but look what its doing for or could be doing for us PAYING ALL OF OUR FUEL and buying us lunch. How? SLOW DOWN really SLOW DOWN, look into any and every anti Ideling device, Centramatics, maybee Airtabs, Synthetic Oil, Align your front Axle, proper Air Pressure. The savings are there and in todays cost of fuel, turn this around to work for you. The math works just as well for straight trucks % is different but the Savings are REAL.

Listen to Kevin on XM I am preching some of the things he talks about, he is a Great Business Counselor to help you keep what you make.

Remember this: IT IS NEVER WHAT YOU GROSSED only WHAT YOU TAKE HOME, do not confuse Gross with take home, and do not forget most of all that you only take home what is left over after all expenses. Otherwise we would all be rich, that $160,000 gross in a year looks great until after you pay out everything and than look at your Tax return and see an income of $29,000 and wonder what happened? The secret is to keep double or triple that, AND BE HAPPY TO PAY THE TAX MAN cause you made a PROFIT. That is the reason you are selfemployed is it not? TO MAKE A PROFIT. Not to be spending just to lower your taxes as paying taxes insures you are making a profit. Good luck and SLOW DOWN more and more O/O are doing it and some are even Astounished at the resulsts in the checkbook and are realizing they can keep ole Truck after all.

Hey Broom! Great advice - as always from you and a wonderful reminder for all of us. Sometimes we tend to only look at the present situation or present run and we forget about the entire spreadsheet! Thanks again!

there you go again, centramatics dont save fuel, mine didnt save not 1 bit of fuel, the others you talked about will.

Last week on way to california, across that great highway I 80,lol,I got an average of 7.65 mpg for the trip. At one time I was bored,so i tried something, for 3 miles i slowed to 55 mph,my fuel went to 9 mpg, then 3 miles at 65 mph,yes it dropped to 8 mpg,but at 75 mph it dropped to a little over 5 mpg.We ran most of the trip at 62 mph,had plenty of time to stop shower and eat,and was still on time.Spent $1300 bucks on fuel, with $ fsc at 1204,and had a little over 1/4 tank of fuel when got unloaded.Slowing down makes money.

My grand father preached all my life, its not what you make but what you save,to bad I took after my dad, eat, drink, and be marry.tomorrow you may die

The cost of fuel is driving the prices of everything up and how can you afford not to slow down and reduce our highest expense? Our FSC is figured at 9 mpg and every mpg over that we can get really helps our bottom line. Steve check out the difference out on your truck getting 8 mpg and 9 mpg for a year? It is just unbelievable how much money you can save.

Advice is a good thing but what I see is that even at $4.75 a gallon, no one seems to be driving slow enough to save.

I came out of Dallas yesterday and I set my cruise at 63, 60 actual mph. I was being passed by every truck and car, some of the trucks were passing the cars.

I am hearing more and more rhetoric over putting back a 55 mph speed limit and force some savings.
