2025 Hino L6 tire wear

I have two 2025 L6 trucks in rollback service and both seem to have unbalanced front tire wear. The left front tire is wearing notably faster than the right front, to the point that while the left front is nearing or at replacement (3-4/32) the right front measures 6/32.

Tire wear on the individual tires is comparable, slight outside edge wear on both, although even side to side. The trucks both track straight, and in general don't have significant indications of alignment issues. One truck has about 60K on it, the other about 100K. The higher mileage truck has been aligned and had tires replaced once.
Suspension and steering components are in good condition.

None of our older 258/268 trucks did this, even with 400-500K on them, although they were Low-Pro chassis with 19.5" wheels/tires.

Has anyone else noted this unusual wear pattern on these newer versions of the 258/268?

Thanks, Gregg

Both trucks had this odd wear with the OE tires, I'm not sure but I believe they were Bridgestone's. Which would make sense since the truck that is now getting its second set of front tires has Bridgestone's on it, and they were probably replaced like-for-like. Tire life seems consistent at about 50-60K.

What is being replaced now is Bridgestone V-Steel Rib R250 ED in size 255/70R22.5 Low Profile Radial

Both trucks are now running Continental's in that size due to availability, and a recommendation from our tire dealer.

He was just as stumped as I am - when I first mentioned this odd wear to him he of course defaulted to an alignment issue, but when he looked at the tires he agreed that while there is some indication of toe wear, the substantial difference side-to-side was something he couldn't blame on alignment, and something he'd never seen before.

In my opinion the Bridgestone's are not great. My shop puts SailUn tires on everything, mostly because of price but they do wear decently.

I was a BMW tech for 20-some years before the frustration made me decide towing suited my mental health better, and during that time we had several OE Bridgestone applications that had unusual wear issues (inside edge wear, cupping, etc.), but the side to side thing is just bizarre.

I'm curious to see how the Continentals we recently installed fare.
