    International ProStar vs. Pete 387

Would you care to elaborate on that?

    Noisy Brakes

Sounds like its either brake dust, which I doubt depending on how new everything is, or a rough spot on the drums. I've got a rough spot on one of my drums and every so often that rough spot will get in just the right place to make it sound like the front end is about to fall off. In my case...

    International ProStar vs. Pete 387

Just working hard and sometimes hardly working. I had a driver wreck my baby (KW) and it hasn't been right since. He ran it off the road. I had to get a new grill, headlights, bumper, side skirts down both sides, and he knocked the battery box out from under it. Then he just packed his stuff and...

    Noisy Brakes

Is there a vibration in the floorboard when this happens? My KW does that. It's either brake dust build up, or you might have a rough spot on one of your drums. At least that what causes my truck to do it.

    International ProStar vs. Pete 387

I appreciate it. The main reason I'm looking at a Cummins is due to the fact that Detroit's are weak IMO and can't hardly pull a hill with a load on. I haul a lot of loads in the 44k-46k lb range.

    International ProStar vs. Pete 387

Looking into buying a truck to run as an E-unit. I've looked at a ProStar and a Pete 387. Both have Cummins engines. The only real difference is the International has a 9 speed, which I'll have converted to a 13, and the Pete has a straight 10. Just curios what you guys thought about these two...

    towing with an expeditor ?

I've got a question. Why wouldn't you find one of those cabovers that I know Swift used to run and Wagooneers still run that pull trailers instead of jimmy rigging something? You the kind where the d-unit had a curtain side body and so did the trailer? I've also seen rigs like that out west...

how to make a gooseneck trailer to a 5th wheel step deck

if you check on a forum with more hot shotters that use that type of equipment you might get more feedback. Are you just wanting to stretch it 8 feet?

    Colors and Colors

Did you know the actual color is called Swap Holley Orange and the reason they use it is because they had a study done and it said that color would get the trucks the most noticed on the road. I would go with Midnight Blue with Canary Yellow flames and lettering.

    Cab-overs

Most people here couldn't drive that truck because it's not an automatic.

    Cab-overs

That thing looks so heavy once you put a box on it you would most likely be stuck hauling b unit freight. You might haul some c unit freight with it.

    International COE with landstar?

It's great that you are having good luck with freight. It's also to bad you aren't having luck with that motor.

    cargoMAXX

Have them hook you up with a title (free and clear) to one of them fully loaded with all the options to include the factory sleeper plus half your fuel and tell everyone all about how great it is. :) just kiddin although that wouldn't be a half bad deal.

    Commercial Truck Rentals

Somebody has to have a US DOT # and a Motor Carrier # to legally haul freight. There is alot that goes into hauling freight on your own than just having a truck and finding some loads to haul.

    Commercial Truck Rentals

Not only that, but alot of truck rental companies won't rent a vehicle to what they call a "start up" company. When I got my new engine and transmission back in May I tried to rent a tractor to go ahead and haul some freight, but Ryder and Penske said I was a start up business because I had only...

Anyone ever had a sleeper added onto?

There is a company called Evans Add Ons that extends sleepers. They have a website.

    Sleeper Q

I've seen some straight trucks with sleepers built in the front end of the box. I guess you have plenty of head room.
