You did not specify what size vehicle. For Fedex E unit (tractor trailer) you MUST be licensed and have 6 months experience. They changed that rule well over a year ago. I am unaware of their rules on straight trucks and vans.

Apparently FedEx does not carry enough liability or cargo or something because we can no longer get back haul loads through CH Robinson. So basically there are no back haul options for us anymore.

The correct answer is you can unload as long/late as you want... You just cannot drive again until you have had the 10 continuous hours off duty/sleeper birth.

I am worried about you being a business owner at all! Why would you work for anyone without knowing upfront exactly how you will be paid? Is it per drop, milage based or time based? And reimbursement of tolls and parking and fuel costs... All of this should have been agreed to and in writing...
