    3126 w/10spd Shift Points

I was taught a LONG time ago that you "up-shift" between 1900 and 2100, "down-shift" no lower than 1800. Just get out and practice, see what the truck likes. Sure, your going to grind once in awhile until you get to know what it likes .lol but before you know it, you won't even be watching...

    Voltage

I'm glad you mentioned boiling the batteries Spud........that's one reason I asked the question. I started with this owner and drove his truck back from Toledo (orientation) to S.E. Missouri (home). I kept an eye on the gauges as much as I could with it being the first time in the truck. I...

    Voltage

I drive a 2001 Freightliner, over 500,000 miles on it. The in-dash digital volt meter reads anywhere from 13.8 to 14.1 volts at any given time. There are not extra lights, etc to drain power.....basically a plain jane truck. Are these numbers about where they should be? Or is trouble brewing.

    Another Freightliner horror story

G-Morning Hawk..........didn't mean anything personal by the lipstick remark.......just thought it was funny when my owner said that! :) It was his personal preference to stay away from Freightshakers and go with Pete's and KW's. As long as whatcha got is doin whatcha need, that's what it's all...

    Another Freightliner horror story

I've driven T-300 KW's, Pete's, I believe they were the 300 series..........and ONE, and only one Freightliner..........Thank God it was only one..........Wouldn't want to climb into another. I got a chuckle out of the first owner I drove for. While hashing out the details of driving for him I...

    Truck Length

TeamCaffee, with your liftgate tucked completely under the truck, do you ever have a problem with snow and/or ice???? Just curious

    Liftgate question.

Talk with FedX and T-State, ask them how often a liftgate is used and the percentage of loads where one would be needed. My guess is that T-State rarely has ST loads where a liftgate is used..........
