Thanks,any idea about the sleeper?

I have a 2008 Sprinter box truck,18 f long and I got a question about geting this truck to work. Do I need to keep a log? Do I need a DOT approved sleeper? Thank you for any advice.

Old layout I am sorry but this layout is very confusing TO ME,this is my opinion.I know you guys put a lot of efort and work and lot's of $ on this new laywout,so I will try to find my way arround and learn.
