My straight truck was a 2001 Freightliner Columbia with series 60 12.7 litre Detroit. When I bought the truck it averaged in the 9.25-9.5 mpg range. Over time, I was able to get it up to a consistent 10.25-10.5 mpg.

One significant difference in being on the road a few weeks in the van vs the straight truck...Im not stopping every few miles to check for flat tires when I drive the Tahoe :D

Chris, I had problems with them being able to fit my CargoMax in their doors and on their lift system. I think a lot of guys are using DRS if you can wait til you get to the yard.

Im not a coffee drinker, but I did try one of the Monster "Java" drinks yesterday and it wasnt bad at all. Does anyone drink those? I have never been a fan of the "energy" drinks because of the "crash" effect when they wear off.
