    Disappointment at SLC KW

Don't get me started on Stoops. Last year we took a truck in for a leaking compressor which we told and pointed out to them. They said they couldn't tell the mechanic because "they have to find the problem". Well, you guessed it. Replaced the whole dryer assembly and said they couldn't find...

    Disappointment at SLC KW

The biggest issue in these is that too much time was wasted. Two days at KW and then two days at Cummins. It certainly trashed a good week on this truck. But we are up and running and that is the good news.

    Disappointment at SLC KW

Just a heads up, if you want a computer code fixed, avoid this dealership. Had a truck get the engine light (code 2215-fuel pressure fault) and was experiencing power loss. They got us in replaced a filter and a sensor that we didn't need. Long story short, charged $600 saying they couldn't...

Does every freightliner m2 106 have a/c issues??

Thats the difference between a true technician and a parts changer.

Does every freightliner m2 106 have a/c issues??

Don't blame them. The local places will do a better job and be a fraction of the price. We had a M2 that was going through condensors only to find out Freightliner changed the vendor three times. No recalls or anything. Just wait until it quits/leaks and then they keep putting in the same junk...

Does every freightliner m2 106 have a/c issues??

Freightliner and a working air conditioner aren't usually together in the same sentence. Do you ever notice they never actually repair it. They tear the whole thing out every time. New compressor, dryer, lines, you name it.

    Question about winter driving

I think I would go with the Turtle quote. "slow and steady wins the race". Professionally secure and drive the freight to location safely. There isn't any freight worth crashing or having a fatality over. If the customer wants it faster, then happily tell them air freight options are...

Which carrier would you not lease on with??

One of many reasons we left that same carrier years ago. I have little patience for a carrier that can't find freight in a area where I can and they should have many more resources. The discouraging thing was at that time was they were high paying loads and required little to set them up. No...

Which carrier would you lease on with??

OK.....so are you saying to run cheap freight? Or run more for less? No one likes to sit, but if you can achieve the same revenue on 3000 miles for example, why would you run 5000 to be at the same place?

    Flat Rate vs. Percentage Pay

Nice picture there Moot. Does kind of some up the world of expediting. As for the variable of "flat raters getting loaded ahead of percentage trucks" is a tough one. Not knowing the frequency and to what degree they get longer loads has to be considered. Only experience or sitting in...

    panther?

Without question, a Sprinter or similar is going to be more versatile. With that said, starting in October, there will be additional opportunities from new business at Panther. To what degree they will be van loads and in what volume remains to be seen. Pretty much the reason you are seeing...

    Flat Rate vs. Percentage Pay

Must be just how they operate. We would have just waited in LaGrange. Outside of that, 1.49 for Panther must be for new ones? I can say we don't run at that rate. Could be for the flat raters. I think they get 1.10 plus the fsc but not sure. That is for all miles.
