My $2500 ish bill could have been financed for $445 per year. That's no bargain rate. Edit: too busy to check the pennies but it'd figure out very close to 18% APR. I think..,.. :)

A UPS truck lost control and literally wrapped itself around the hood of one of our gasoline tankers. No fire, thank God. UPS, being self insured, was a p***k to deal with. You never know when you'll be thankful that you have a better than average insurance package.

I don't want to start a debate over the good or bad of OOIDA as an organization. I'm curious to hear of experiences of anyone using OOIDA Insurance. Good or bad. Edit: I at this time have no reason to leave Progressive or CIS. This is research for a friend.

Let's be fair. If you're going along making monthly payments and you combine a large increase with the loss of the payment plan, it can be unsettling. It'd be an unsecured loan at a bank. Harder to get and at a higher rate. While insurance was part of the plan, since one was paying monthly...
