What To Do When Things Go Wrong

Good post. My last load was one of those where everything that could go wrong, did. I'm not sure who was to blame. I'm fairly confident that I wasn't the blame or anyone at my company (dispatchers mainly). Some of it was pretty aggravating. "When" I can keep my wits about me, I just remind...

    How qualifications differ

John, I inderstand that it's a technical issue... but, I don't trust the IRS to overlook a technical error...if they deemed at as an error. Obviously they don't or haven't had a problem with it so far. I think it's just one of those things that has always been done so everybody accepts it as...

I didnt have any problems with Load One either. I do despise filling out an application for employment when I am a contractor. All companies do that and personally, I think it exposes them to the IRS employer vs contractor issues. Its just my opinion obviously. Seems like an easy fix to me. As...

Now rescheduled for noon. Funny how they tend to call just enough ahead of time to prevent detention charges. So, any verdict yet on the pickle transporter?

Westmicher's New XLT 10 Project Begins!

The research I've done boils down to intake, exhaust, ecm tune. Sounds like you have the exhaust done already. The intake may be as simple as dropping in a different filter. If I remember correctly, Jack Berry was getting around 16 mpg with his hcv and I think it had the 5.4? If that's the...

Westmicher's New XLT 10 Project Begins!

If the setup works out and you have the turnkey setup in the low $40's, I wouldnt consider it overpriced. The final product, the payload and the fuel mileage will determine the success. That price tag is not out of line for what your building...imo.

Getting in to expediting. Please help with truck info.

DD, could you name any specific part of that truck that didn't have issues? I seem to remember it having a killer a/c system?

That would explain it... now if my phone would actually retain the quote. It has the quote option, it used to work fine, but it don't work anymore (I quoted Jenny's post in this post). Oh well, I can't reply to pms from my phone anymore either. I have to start a new msg to reply.

Its all good now. Just a small cell actually. I was watching it on weatherbug and knew hail was possible....almost waited too long to get under the canopy though...lol. The pumps were empty 3 minutes earlier, then they were full when it hit...lol. Amazing how many vehicles will fit into such a...
