Yes...but the topic of this thread is carriers imposing fines on drivers. I understand the need to hold drivers accountable. It is our job to get the freight there on time. My problem with the fines is somebody/anybody sitting in the office deciding whether or not I should be fined for this or...

The problem with this scenario imo is who makes the judgement call on whether the driver should get the original transit time? If there was going to be a fine written into the contract, then there needs to be some specifics as to how the transit time is determined. Just allowing a set mph is...

Its equal to "really important customer". Spotlight just puts so much more spin on it though...lol. If I ever become a dispatcher, I'll be using that one.

All true...but....not so much an observation at Load1 as I havent been here long enough, but at other carriers it is amazing how a "check in" call to dispatch could be followed shortly by a load offer. Its happened a time or two here, but sometimes the timing is just coincidental.

I absolutely love "Spotlight Account".... somebody deserves a promotion for that one! Lol

These are actually pretty good points to be made at most carriers. Some will hold to the board position better than others...but make no mistake about it. If the load needs to get on a truck quick...and your the closest truck, you'll get that load. Many things go into getting a grip on this...
